We have launched the 11th annual Mercury Business Awards to give firms across the area the chance to shout about their successes.

The awards are all about celebrating success, whether yours is a one-man company or a mammoth in the business world.

There are 10 categories to enter this year, thanks to the generous support of our sponsors Hegarty LLP, South Kesteven District Council, Larkfleet Group of Companies, Bulley Davey, Duncan and Toplis, Greetham Valley and Viking Signs.

New for this year is the Great Taste Award, which will recognise a local hotel, restaurant, cafe or pub that can demonstrate a top quality dining experience and outstanding customer service.

The awards will be given out at a glittering gala dinner to be held at the Greetham Valley Hotel, Golf and Conference Centre in Wood Lane, Greetham, on Friday, May 20.

They will once again be hosted by BBC Radio Lincolnshire host Melvyn Prior.

Mercury editor Mark Edwards said: “It’s our great pleasure and privilege to reflect some of the many outstanding success stories achieved by businesses in Stamford, Rutland, Bourne and the Deepings.

“The Mercury Business Awards are designed to celebrate the hard work, professionalism and achievement of the area’s businesses and the people who work for them, so it is well worth taking the time to put your company forward for one of our accolades.

“And the awards evening is always a fantastic night to remember and to celebrate your achievements with your team. We are really excited to unveil a new category this year in the Great Taste Award. We know there are fantastic places to eat across Stamford, Bourne, Rutland and the Deepings and it’s time they were celebrated at our Mercury Business Awards.”
