MORE details on a proposed wind farm were revealed at a public exhibition.

REG Windpower wants to build two 100m wind turbines on land off Steadfold Lane, Ketton, and held an exhibition to update people about the plans at the Northwick Arms on Thursday last week.

On average the farm would generate enough renewable electricity to meet the annual needs of over 1,300 homes.

Attendees were able to look at a 3D model of the wind turbines on Google Earth and look at studies of other similar schemes.

Ketton Parish Council chairman, councillor Glenis Southern, attended the exhibition. She said: “My personal view is that there are too many questions about the feasibility of renewable energy by means of wind turbines that need to be adequately answered.

“I have to say I am concerned about the proximity to the cement works and residential properties.”

REG has proposed a community fund which could make a lump sum of £86,000 available to local parishes as soon as the windfarm has planning permission. Full details on the farm are available at
