Heights of Play Scheme cancel bag pack at Morrisons in Stamford after outbreak of illness

Fundraisers have had to cancel a bag pack at Morrisons in Stamford tomorrow (Saturday, November 23) after the outbreak of a sickness bug.

The Heights of Play Scheme (HOPS) want to raise £50,000 for new playground equipment at the Rutland Heights estate in the town.

However, their planned bag pack at the supermarket tills has been postponed because too many helpers are poorly.

In a statement on their Facebook page, Team HOPS said: "Due to a sickness bug that is sweeping its way through our community we have made the difficult decision to cancel the planned bag pack tomorrow at Morrison's in Stamford.

"Most of our little helpers are either ill or recovering at the moment and we do not feel that it is fair to them or the customers of Morrisons to go ahead as planned.

"We wish all our supporters a speedy recovery and will confirm our re-scheduled bag packing day in due course."
