The brutal murder of Alan Wood will be in the spotlight again in a major TV documentary.
Tonight (Sunday, October 18) experts including Clive Driscoll, the retired Metropolitan Police senior officer who secured convictions for the 1993 murder of Stephen Lawrence, review the gruesome events that led to Alan Wood, 50, being found dead in a pool of blood at his home in Lound, near Bourne, on October 24 2009.
It was the most violent murder that seasoned police officers have ever witnessed in Lincolnshire and it was coupled with a post-death attempt to cut off Alan’s head.
