Extra funding for The Labrador Rescue Trust

A dog rescue charity has received a much-needed boost from a series of fundraising events.

Two events in aid of The Labrador Rescue Trust were held in the village of Laxton.

The first was a dog walk which began and ended at Hill Top Farm.

Food and drink was donated on the day and a total of £1,227 was raised.

The second event was a quiz night at Laxton village hall.

The sell out evening also included a raffle and reverse bingo, hot and cold nibbles and an auction.

The quiz raised £371 on the night.

And finally, collections were held in High Street, Stamford, and Pets at Home in Peterborough.

Despite windy conditions which led to the gazebo in Stamford taking flight, £500 was raised for the trust.
