A FAMILY is appealing for help in tracking down their missing three legged ferret.

Amy Wreiter and her children Finley, seven, and five-year-old Frankie are increasingly concerned for Wolfgang.

The 18-month-old ferret went missing from their home in Newstead Lane, Belmsthorpe, on Monday last week after escaping from a pen. They have searched the surrounding field.

Wolfgang’s back leg was amputated last summer after a horse stepped on it.

Amy, who owns three other ferrets, Franzie, Heidi and Layo, is appealing for help in finding Wolfgang.

She said: “He is quite vulnerable with three legs as he’s not as fast as a normal ferret.

“He was our first ferret and we enjoyed him so much that we ended up with a family of them.”

Wolfgang, who has polecat style markings, eats cat food.

Anyone who sees Wolfgang should call Amy on 07968 757818.
