Castle Bytham Midsummer Festival brings a heady mix of beer, music and shopping

A two-day festival saw thousands of people enjoy a midsummer feast of music, eating, drinking and shopping.

The weekend event in Castle Bytham was the work of 150 volunteers from the village and surrounding areas, and included a huge variety of attractions.

The fun kicked off with a 5km running race called 'The Chase' in which participants were pursued by a pitchfork-waving farmer.
