An event that celebrates the food and drink of the county is set to return for its fourth year.

The Rutland Food and Drink Festival is being held at Rutland Water, Sykes Lane, Empingham, on Saturday, September 14, running from 10am to 6pm.

The festival is organised by Rutland County Council and Discover Rutland, and showcases some of Rutland’s great food producers and this year’s event promises to be bigger and better with more than 30 food and drink exhibitors.

The event will feature live cookery demonstrations organised by award winning chef Brian Baker from the Marquess of Exeter pub in Lyddington.

Also new for this year will be a cook-off between the county’s top chefs, which will be judged by the High Sheriff of Rutland Trish Ruddle.

The event coincides with the annual family fun day Rutland Day.

The day will feature a line-up of live music, a range of entertainment and games for children and stalls for adults to browse around.
