A SUMMER fete on Saturday raised more than £200 towards a project to build a conservatory.
Whitefriars Care Home in St George’s Avenue, Stamford, held the fete in the afternoon, which was open to residents and members of the public.
The visitors were able to take advantage of the sunny weather and enjoy cream teas in the garden and there was also a range of stalls.
Activities coordinator Sarah Turner-Daffern said the money raised would go towards a new conservatory for residents suffering from severe dementia.
She said: “We got a lovely crowd on Saturday and it was a nice afternoon.
“We want to build a new conservatory so the residents can enjoy the garden more.”
