The 10th annual Mercury Business Awards will take place this evening (Friday) at Greetham Valley Hotel, celebrating success in the business world.

Out of hundreds of entries a group of outstanding finalists have been chosen and will be attending this evening’s event to find out if they have won one of the nine awards.

The finalists are as follows:

Small Business of the Year Award - Sponsored by Greetham Valley and Viking Signs: Simmons Optometrists, Lily King and Tofts Logs.

Established Business of the Year Award - Sponsored by Greetham Valley and Viking Signs: Bradshaw Electric Vehicles, Zazzle Media and Stamford Stone.

Best New Start Up - Sponsored by Hegarty Solicitors: Nimble Media, Empire Gym and Salon 3.

Customer Care - Sponsored by Upp Property: Empire Gym, Simmons Optometrists and McDonalds Stamford.

Employee/Team of the Year - Sponsored by the Mercury: Lily King, Acorn Childcare Centre and Luke Owen - Mark Towle Plumbing Services.

Business Innovation - Sponsored by SKDC: Mbriefs, Alice Reins and Nimble Media.

Independent Retailer - Sponsored by Robert Loomes: Simmons Optometrists, The Wool Room, Black Cab Studio and Barefoot Flooring.

Green Achievement - Sponsored by Allison Homes, Bradshaw Electric Vehicle, My Home Survey, McDonalds Stamford.

Lifetime Achievement Award - Sponsored by Duncan & Toplis will also be announced on the night.
