Finalists in Mercury Business Awards 2019 are revealed!

Today we are delighted to reveal the 27 businesses fighting it out for 10 categories at the Mercury Business Awards 2019.

Our judges have faced the tough task over the last two weeks of narrowing down more than 150 entries to just a handful in each category, who will fight it out to take home the trophy at our awards ceremony - always a huge night in the local business calendar.

Today, events and sponsorship coordinator Sharron Marriott will contact the shortlisted businesses to share the good news and the next steps.

Each of these businesses will receive two complimentary tickets to the awards and for managers wanting to share their success with their teams, there will be the opportunity to buy further tickets to the awards ceremony.

The ceremony includes a delicious three-course meal, reception, table wine and the opportunity to network and will be held at Greetham Valley on Friday, September 20, hosted by Rutland Radio’s breakfast presenter Rob Persani.

Judges will also be in touch to arrange a visit to the shortlisted businesses to learn more about what they do before making a final decision on who will take home the trophy.

“But for every business shortlisted, to get this far is a huge success and they should be rightly proud,” said Mercury editor Kerry Coupe.

“We’re looking forward to a fantastic night at Greetham on September 20 and we hope the teams from our shortlisted businesses are just as excited as we are.

“We can’t wait to meet everyone and celebrate all the hard work that goes into their businesses every single day and unveil our worthy winners.”

Today, we also announce two new sponsors for 2019 and we are delighted to welcome on board specialist recruitment firm MorePeople, of Stamford, which is sponsoring the Employee/Team of the Year category and New College Stamford, which is sponsoring Best Social Enterprise.

The Mercury Business Awards are the biggest of their kind in the Stamford, Bourne and Rutland area and for the last two years, under the ownership of Iliffe Media, have grown
substantially.

This year we have InvestSK as our headline sponsor.
