Hambleton Hall in Rutland named sixth top restaurant in country in Harden's list of Top 100 Best UK Restaurants 2020
Hambleton Hall in Rutland has been named the sixth best restaurant in the country.
In Harden's Top 100 Best UK Restaurants 2020, based on 50,000 reports from a survey of 7,500 diners, Hambleton Hall came in at sixth place - up four places from its 10th position in 2019.
The summary of Hambleton Hall noted that it is a "perfect country retreat" and noted that the restaurant owned yb Tim Hart offers a "pampering experience", while making "no compromosies to quality".
It goes on to say that Aaron Patterson has overseen the kitchen since 1992, and his “exceptional classic cuisine” is “beautifully presented with amazing flavours”.
The summary added: "It’s not an inexpensive experience, but no-one considers it overpriced".
Tim also runs Hambleton Bakery, which recently announced expansion plans.
Other restaurants noted by Harden's are The Olive Branch in Clipsham; The Fox and Hounds in Exton; The Blue Bell in Glinton; The Wheatsheaf in Greetham; The Finch's Arms in Hambleton; Hitchen's Barn in Oakham; The George Hotel in Stamford; and Tap and Kitchen in Oundle.
