Children at Wiggles and Giggles Nursery in Stamford get a surprise as fire engine turns up

Children at Wiggles and Giggles Nursery in Broad Street got a nice surprise this morning (May 8) when Stamford firefighters arrived to hand out some details of their latest recruitment drive.

Christine Ambrose, nursery manager, said: "They are doing a recruitment drive at the moment and just popped in to give the information so we can put it in our newsletter.

"They came in and there were 24 children asking questions and they asked if they could put their blue lights on.

"It was just a spontaneous call.

"The children had half an hour of complete excitement."
