Fire service to offer support to Bourne residents after house fire
Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue are set to visit Bourne tomorrow (Tuesday) to offer support to residents after a fire claimed the life of a woman.
Fire prevention staff will be in the area from 11am, visiting residentss door to door to offer advice and reassurance.
Firefighters were called on Friday night at about 9.10pm to Recreation Road, Bourne. Sadly a woman in her 50s died in the blaze.
Dan Moss, group manager prevention and protection at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue said: "Our thoughts are with family and friends at this difficult time. Joint fire and police investigations have taken place over the weekend, but further evidence will be considered before a determination about the cause can be given. We will be visiting residents in the area tomorrow to offer support, reassurance and fire safety advice."
Appliances from Bourne, Spalding, Market Deeping, Corby Glen, and the rescue unit from Grantham attended the incident.
Investigations in the cause are continuing.
