Field fire in Ufford believed to be arson

Crews attended a field fire which they believe was started deliberately.

Firefighters from Yaxley, Stanground and Dogsthorpe as well as a crew from Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue were called to a field fire in Stamford Road, Ufford yesterday afternoon (August 3).

Farmers used machinery to create a fire break and assisted crews with extinguishing the fire.

The cause of the fire is believed to be deliberate.
