Fires off Raymond Mays Way and in Witham-on-the-Hill put out by Bourne and Corby Glen crews

A fire near Raymond Mays Way in Bourne was put out by firefighters from the town yesterday afternoon (Monday, August 24).

The crew attended shortly after 2pm and used a hose and a fire blanket to put out about 30m of grassland that was alight.

Bourne firefighters then joined the crew from Corby Glen to put out a straw blaze in a barn off Main Street, Witham-on-the-Hill.
