Firefighters tackle kitchen fire in Little Bytham

Fire and rescue crews from Corby Glen, Stamford and Grantham attended a kitchen fire in Little Bytham yesterday afternoon (Saturday).

They were called to the fire on Glen Close, Little Bytham at 4.48pm.

Two breathing apparatus and thermal imaging camera were used, and one hose reel to extinguish.

There was fire damage to a cooker, and the cause identified as this being accidentally turned on by something placed next to it.

No-one was inside the property at the time.
