Bakkavor set to recruit more 200 people in Bourne




More than 500 jobs will be up for grabs at Bakkavor sites across south Lincolnshire as part of a big recruitment drive.

The firm has announced it intends to recruit 207 people in Bourne, 143 in Holbeach, 104 in Sutton Bridge and 89 in Spalding.

Bakkavor, which produces meals, salads, pizza, bread and desserts for major supermarkets such as Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury's and Waitrose, says the jobs boost is aimed to meet consumer demand as Covid restrictions ease.

Regionally, Bakkavor is specifically recruiting for 680 jobs across its Lincolnshire sites, with a further 196 roles to be filled in Nottingham, 148 in Kent and 139 in Bo’ness, Scotland. Bakkavor is also looking to employ people in Somerset, Lancashire, Leicestershire, London, Wiltshire and Cheshire.
