Rutland Cycling takes on the challenge of completing 40 laps of Rutland Water for the charity Mind
A business has completed the challenge of cycling 40 laps of Rutland Water.
The team at Rutland Cycling set themselves a goal to celebrate being open for 40 years and to raise money for Mind.
The event took place on Wednesday, September 22 to support four local Mind charities which rely on independent funding to provide vital mental health support services to the community.
Rutland Cycling support a different charity every year and help raise money for them.
David Hicks, marketing manager of Rutland Cycling, said: “We asked all staff who they would prefer to support for this year and mental health seemed to be prevalent topic.”
Fourteen members of the commercial, marketing and e-commerce team participated.
The team completed a total of 57 laps of Rutland Water between them, including the peninsula - the equivalent to 1,300 miles.
David said: “It was a really enjoyable trip out and the weather was lovely and sunny.”
Max Hale, an online merchandiser for Rutland Cycling, completed 6 laps, including the peninsula, which equals approximately 122 miles.
Rutland Cycling has raised a total of £2,320.
