Rutland businesses are encouraged to apply for the Queen's Awards For Enterprise




Businesses in Rutland are being encouraged to apply for the prestigious Queen's Awards For Enterprise.

Dr Sarah Furness, the Lord Lieutenant of Rutland, put on an event for interested businesses from the county at Barnsdale Lodge Hotel on Tuesday (May 7).

Those attending heard numerous talks about the awards, including Paul Holt whose firm Photocentric, is a recipient.

Dr Sarah said: "It was amazing and there was a real buzz in the air.

“We had about 60 people from various business attend and quite a few of them said they would apply.

“We've got some fantastic businesses in Rutland and I just think it's a really good thing for them to do.

"People trust the Queen's awards for enterprise and it's very good, particularly if you're exporting."
