Police inspector for Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings urges people to follow Covid rules and report breaches




A police inspector has urged people to abide by lockdown rules and continue to report breaches of Covid-19 regulations.

Lincolnshire Police is continuing its work with South Kesteven District Council to tackle commercial and domestic Covid breaches in Stamford, Bourne and Market Deeping.

Policing inspector for Stamford, Bourne and the Deepings, Gary Stewart, said: "Most of the population is sticking to Government guidelines.

"We continue to support and ask for people not to contravene it.

"People should be using common sense and observing it.

"You should think about other people even if you don't think you will get it. Don't be selfish."

Police officers are more likely to attend parties and large gatherings whereas South Kesteven District Council employees engage with business owners to tackle commercial breaches.

Covid breaches can be reported online or by calling 101.
