Rutland Foodbank collection point opens at Briars Convenience Store and Post Office in Churchill Road, Oakham, after inspiration from Richard Branson




A postmaster and shop owner has taken inspiration from Richard Branson to open up a foodbank collection point in Oakham.

Indy Gill will be donating to the Rutland Foodbank from the Briars Convenience Store and Post Office on Churchill Road.

He said: “I want to help the community and the public.

“There are people out there struggling and not living under a proper roof.

“It’s so important to make sure that we are helping and supporting them.

“I'm also a big fan of Richard Branson, especially all of the charity work he does.

"It would be great if he could visit Rutland one day."

Sealed and in-date food, especially tins, is welcome and will be donated to the food bank.
