Former Formula One driver Howden Ganley to speak at Bourne Motor Racing Club at the Corn Exchange
After the August summer break, Bourne Motor Racing Club will resume its monthly meeting at the Corn Exchange on September 12.
Our guest speaker in September will be Howden Ganley, former F1 Grand Prix driver for the BRM team based in Bourne.
Howden’s presentation will tell the story of his life in Motorsport from the start of his career in New Zealand, his move to the UK in Formula Junior, then F3, F5000, culminating in F1 with BRM, Williams, and March as well as the BRM, Chevron and Mirage sports car programmes.
Howden will also talk about his time as a sports racing car manufacturer with the ‘Tiga’ project, which he ran for 15 years with his co-founder Tim Schenken.
This is sure to be a great night for enthusiasts of the BRM team and motorsports fans in general.
Doors at the Corn Exchange open at 7pm and Howden will begin his presentation at 8pm.
The club has a full programme of speakers throughout 2019.
Membership of the Bourne Motor Racing Club is £20 for the year, or £10 for a half year and new members are always welcome.
Visitors and guests can pay £5 on the night.
