Former Essendine Hotel is demolished to make way for business units

A reader has sent in these photos of the former Essendine Hotel being demolished to make way for business units.

Mark Warren, who lives in Essendine, said it was a "shame to see some railway history and a building with a bit of character go, but it has become unloved".

The Mercury has previously reported that Bourne businessman Ben Gunner had submitted an application for industrial units on the site.
