Young footballers from Royce Rangers’ Under 10’s squad were treated to a training session with former Liverpool and Leicester star Kevin MacDonald at Oakham School’s all-weather pitch.
Kevin, who recently managed Swindon Town and has also coached at Aston Villa, Leicester and Republic of Ireland, most famously won the FA Cup and league double with Liverpool in 1986.
Kevin put the boys through their paces, and followed on with a question and answer session where he revealed that Kenny Dalglish was the best player he ever played with.
Managers Steve Cornwall and Frank Kenyon have thanked Kevin for taking the session, as well as Peter Harrison for arranging the evening.
Despite the cold weather Kevin stayed on for autographs, photos and to show his League and FA Cup winners medals.
