Fourth annual village event will help church funds

Preparations are underway for Exton Day, which will take place on Bank Holiday Monday, May 30.

Exton Day is taking place for the fourth year running raising funds for ‘Villagers For Exton Church’ which is helping to keep the village church open. When the fundraising began the church was in real danger of closing but since these efforts many improvements have been made and with continued effort it is hoped a toilet and small servery can be installed to make the church a more comfortable venue.

Exton Day is a family fun day with competitions and stalls, around the village, a dog show in the afternoon on the village green, refreshments, and usually a visit from the Morris Men of Rutland.
