Free screening of Military Wives at Rutland County Museum in Oakham
A free screening of the British comedy drama Military Wives will kick off a new season of cinema at Rutland County Museum.
Starring Kristin Scott Thomas, the film tells the story of a group of women who form a choir while their partners are serving in Afghanistan, and quickly find themselves at the centre of a media sensation and global movement.
The 180-seat venue at Catmos Street, Oakham, will fill on a first come, first served basis for this screening, although some seats will be reserved for Rutland Foodbank and Oakham Vaccination Hub volunteers.
Seating is arranged to meet covid-19 guidelines and doors open at 7pm on Thursday, September 2, for the 7.30pm screening.
Cinema for Rutland, part of Arts for Rutland, is finalising its new programme of films, which will be screened on the first Thursday of each month.
