Frontline NHS staff will be supported to recover from experience after up to half of all patients die

Frontline NHS staff who saw up to half of coronavirus patients die on some wards will be given support to recover from the experience.

Acting chief executive Rebecca Brown told the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust board that she was ‘incredibly proud’ of all staff and the way they have responded to the pandemic.

“The numbers of deaths that this trust has had, have been extremely high,” she said.
