Despite years of plans to change a speed limit, residents have been left frustrated after being no further forward in making the road safer due to a council’s ‘incompetence’.

Wothorpe Parish Council has been leading the campaign to reduce the 50mph speed limit on the B1081 to 40mph for vehicles approaching Stamford.

Chairman of Wothorpe Parish Council, Paul Redfern, has been concerned about the road for some time as he believes 50mph is far too much to be entering the town.
