The sounds and smells of a funfair have been wafting through Stamford this week as the traditional Mid-Lent Fair hit town.

The fair started on Monday with the mayor of Stamford Clem Walden declaring the fair open outside the waltzers.

The dazzling and colourful lights from the fair rides have filled Broad Street, Sheep Market, Bath Row and The Meadows and visitors have been able to tuck into sticky candyfloss and tasty burgers.

Paula Stenson, of Uffington, was one of those to enjoy the fair and sent us this photo of the rides in Bath Row.

The fair finishes tomorrow night and the roads will reopen on Sunday.
