Matt Terry, winner of The X Factor in 2016, is performing at the Rutland Water Music Festival in June 2020 alongside Jack Maynard
A former winner of The X Factor will be performing at a brand new music festival this summer.
Matt Terry, who won the talent show in 2016, is performing alongside The Hoosiers and Scouting for Girls at the Rutland Water Music Festival, taking place on Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14.
Brighton-based vlogger and pop star Jack Maynard will also be taking to the Sykes Lane stage in Empingham.
Event organiser Angela Tobin for Anglian Water, said: "We're so excited to be holding Rutland's first music festival this summer.
"The reservoir is already extremely popular with locals and visitors, and this is such a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the park and all the county of Rutland has to offer."
Other acts include Freddie Mercury tribute act Dean Richardson, Rats in the Kitchen and Little Chix.
Leicester City mascot Filbert Fox will also be appearing alongside the club's community team.
A climbing wall, bouldering wall, archery and nature reserve activities are going to be put on for everyone.
The festival will be situated away from any environmentally sensitive areas.
Many of the food and drink stands will be local and Anglian Water is also aiming to use as little plastic as possible.
Angela Tobin added: "It's part of our ethos as a business to give something back the to the communities we serve.
"Rutland already has a real sense of community, the county's motto - ‘multum in parvo' - means ‘much in little' and we hope the music festive will be reflective of that, something visitors and the local community will support, be proud of, and return to year after year."
People can come for the day or camp over for the first time at Rutland Water.
Tickets start at £25 for adults and £15 for children over four.
The early bird period has been extended until the end of this month.
