Covid death recorded in Rutland
A further death from coronavirus has been recorded.
Figures released by Public Health England today (December 2) confirm that one person in Rutland has died within 28 days of a positive Covid-19 test.
The latest fatality brings the number of people who have died in Rutland to 70.
Rutland’s seven-day infection rate stands far above the national average at 642 cases per 100,000 people compared with 436 nationally.
In the past week, 261 people in the county have tested positive for Covid-19.
This brings the total of Rutland cases during the pandemic to 5,119.
