Further covid deaths recorded in South Kesteven

Two further deaths from Covid-19 have been recorded in South Kesteven today (November 2).

The latest figures bring the total number of people in the district who have died within 28 days of a positive test to 289.

In recent weeks, South Kesteven has seen a spike in cases reaching the highest point in the pandemic, with its seven-day infection rate having been above the nation average for more than a month.

The rate has dropped down in the past few days, currently standing at 472 per every 100,000 people, while the national average is 416.9.

In the past week, 661 people have tested positive in the district, bringing the total to 17,185.

During the seven-day period ending on October 27, 57 coronavirus cases were attributable to Market Deeping, 95 to Stamford and 64 to Bourne.
