Art gallery pops up in former Gilbert's furniture shop in Ayston Road, Uppingham
An art gallery has popped up in an empty shop in Uppingham and it received a fantastic response on its opening weekend.
Luisa Jamieson-Mclean, an artist herself, decided to make use of the empty shop in Ayston Road, which was Gilbert’s furniture store until owner Kath Gilbert retired last March after 56 years.
Luisa, who worked for Kath for 17 years, wanted to make the most of the empty space and decided to use it as an opportunity to showcase 45 artists from Rutland and further afield.
