The garden of The Old Vicarage in Burley in Rutland has been shortlisted in the Nation's Favourite Garden competition

This beautiful garden is shortlisted in the Nation’s Favourite Garden competition.

Perched on a hill in the Rutland village of Burley, the garden of The Old Vicarage was a wilderness when Sandra and Jonathan Blaza arrived in 1996.

Since then they have added walls, hedges, paths and terracing to manage the slope, dividing the garden into different areas.

During the past nine years the couple has raised £51,000 for the National Gardens Scheme and charities through open days and visits.
