MORE than £700 worth of gifts will be winging their way to children this Christmas.
Paul Brown and Nicola Mitchell, who run home distribution company Kleeneze in Stamford and the surrounding villages, asked their customers to buy a gift from the brochure and donate it to their appeal to collect gifts for children’s charity Barnado’s.
They were helped by their 14 distributors and were delighted when they managed to collect £700 worth of gifts.
Paul, of Caithness Road, Stamford, said it was the first time they had done a Christmas appeal in the six years they have been Kleeneze distributors.
He said: “We just wanted to help children who are less fortunate and who might not get a gift this Christmas.
“We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the response.
“We can’t thank our customers enough for their generosity and it is definitely something we will be looking to do again.”
The gifts were delivered to a Barnado’s warehouse in Leicester yesterday.
