Plan your Easter egg hunts in Stamford, Oakham and Market Deeping




Easter is here and families are in for a tasty treat if they go on an egg hunt this weekend.

Families are in for a treat at Burghley House on Sunday, April 21, with the return of its popular Easter Treasure Hunt.

Taking place amongst the wonderful trees and artworks of the Sculpture Garden, children of all ages will embark on a quest to solve the riddle and claim their prize - a full-size chocolate egg from the Easter bunny!

There’s even a special Easter quiz for parents with a chance to win an afternoon tea in the Orangery Restaurant, plus all entries will go into a prize draw to win a giant chocolate Easter bunny.

Entry to the Burghley Easter Treasure Hunt is free with an house and gardens or gardens only ticket, and free to Friends of Burghley members.

Please note that annual pass tickets will not be accepted for admission on this event day unless they are purchased on the day of the event or online e-tickets being used for the first time. HHA membership is not valid for free entry on this day.

Ford’s of Oakham is hosting a hunt which will also raise funds for the Derbyshire, Leicestershire and Rutland Air Ambulance.

The family-run department store is hosting its annual Easter egg hunt on Good Friday and Easter Saturday in the heart of the market town.

The cracking event has a brand new look this year and includes an Easter egg counting challenge.

Manager Juliana White said: “Our annual Easter celebration is something we always look forward to here at Ford’s and gets great feedback from our visitors.

“But to coincide with our new look, we thought it was time to revamp our Easter event and raise funds for the Rutland Air Ambulance at the same time.

“So this year, we invite everyone to count the Easter Eggs in our special shop window display.”

There will be an entry form available in store and those taking part will need to complete it along with their egg-stimate of how many eggs we’ve put in our display. It costs £2 per person.

Those with the correct answer will go into a hat and one winner will be drawn at random and will win a £50 Toymaster voucher.

The first South Kesteven District Council Saturday market for Market Deeping, featuring live music, an Easter egg hunt and family entertainment, will be on Easter Saturday.

An artisan baker and a fishmonger will be alongside the customary fruit and veg stalls, pitches selling fishing tackle, vintage vinyl records and much more.

Everyone is invited to an Easter Egg Hunt at South Luffenham Church on Easter Monday (April 22) at 3pm!

Lots of eggs to find - come and join the fun.

Oakham Town Council is organising a free Easter egg hunt on Easter Monday (April 22) at Cutts Close, Oakham, between 11am and 2pm.

Belton House, near Grantham, will be holding an Easter egg hunt in association with Cadbury’s from Good Friday until Easter Monday.

With a few clues to crack along the way, it’s time to join the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt and enjoy the fun! The cost is of the hunt is £3.

Oakham United Football Club in Main Road, Barleythorpe, is holding an egg hunt on Easter Sunday (April 21) between 2pm and 4pm. Take part in the decorate an egg competition, buy cakes from our Easter themed cake stall and win all sorts on our tombola. Find five golden eggs to win a prize. St Michael’s Church in Langtoft, is hosting Easter egg trails on Saturday, April 27. Come along to the church anytime between 10am and 4pm. Trails for young children, older children and adults. Only £1 to take part and everyone gets an egg! Light refreshments all day, sandwich lunches from midday. Easter tombola and free craft activities for the children.

Belvoir Castle Easter Eggstravaganza takes place on Easter weekend, Good Friday April 19 to Easter Monday, April 22. Visitors might bump into their favourite nursery rhyme characters on the Nursery Rhyme Treasure Hunt, with a chance to win a special Easter surprise.

Families can join in with egg decorating and face painting, visit the farm animals and see incredible birds of prey. A special Easter afternoon tea will also be available.
