Get ready to rock in Bourne next weekend

One of Bourne’s biggest music events is set to return next weekend and organisers are promising this year will be bigger and better than ever before.

Preparations are underway for this year’s Bourne Festival which will be taking place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday next week at the Wellhead in Bourne.

The festival, which is in it’s 13th year, is set to host over 5,000 people across the weekend and is looking to raise in excess of £20,000 for charity, of which half will be donated to Bourne2Play.

Organised by the Bourne and District Round Table, all of the profits from the festival will go towards helping local charities, specifically the Bourne2Play campaign which is raising funds to build a new play park in Bourne.

Across the weekend punters can enjoy live music from more than 20 local bands and a huge array of real ales.

The event will take place on Friday, June 5 (6pm to 11pm), Saturday, June 6 (12pm to 11pm) and Sunday, June 7 (12pm to 10pm).

Entry is £2 per day, children under 11 free. Visit the website for more information.
