Empingham Primary School pupil writes letter of support to Australian firefighters
An eight-year-old girl has used her huge imagination to come up with ways to support firefighters in Australia.
Touched by their efforts to control the wildfires which have left thousands of people and animals homeless, Layla Parkinson, a pupil at Empingham Church of England Primary School, put pen to paper to write them a letter.
In it, she explains to the firefighters that she has "come up with three solutions" to help in Australia.
