A cuddly bear called Hamish will be travelling the world to raise money to help elderly people in Bourne.
The cuddly toy is helping staff at Bourne Anglia Co-operative raise money for the Butterfield Centre.
The store is aiming to raise at least £1,500 during 2013 for the centre, which provides day care and other support.
Hamish will be a major part of the effort, raising money by being sponsored to travel the world.
Store community champion Steve Diamond said: “Staff from the store and the Butterfield Centre will take Hamish on their holidays and photograph him at landmarks in this country and around the world.
“We’ll try to get him sponsored for every trip - £1 for this country and £2 abroad.”
Holding Hamish is food store staff member Lorraine Edwards with colleague Debbie Taylor.
