ORGANISERS of second-hand sales have received national recognition for the service they provide to parents.
The NCT’s Stamford, Bourne and Deepings branch received a gold standard award for its popular nearly-new sales.
The group hosts two sales a year in Bourne and one in Stamford.
To qualify for the award organisers must raise a significant amount of money and involve at least 600 parents and 40 volunteers during the year. They must sell a wide range of products and have high standards of customer service.
Committee member Rebecca Amos said: “We were really proud to be given the award. The sales have all gone really well in the last 12 months and raised a lot of money for the NCT.”
Each sale raises between £3,000 and £4,000 for NCT projects like playgroups antenatal classes and support services for parents.
The next sale will take place on Saturday, September 24 at Bourne Corn Exchange from 11am until 1pm.
