More than 1,000 people filled the streets of Uppingham at the weekend to enjoy the annual Stilton Cheese Classic Vehicle Run 2015.

The event which commemorates the original route taken by horse drawn carriage to deliver Stilton cheese from Quenby Hall to the Bell Inn at Stilton, was a huge success

About 300 classic vehicles were on show at the event on Sunday, which for the first time was broadcast live on the internet in both English and French.

Director and secretary of Uppingham First, Ron Simpson said: “We had over 1,000 people in the town at one point, with very positive feedback from everyone.

“Uppingham First would like to say a big well done to all of the volunteers who helped out. It would not have been possible without you all.”
