A TRADITIONAL fete was held in bright sunshine on Saturday followed by a party in the evening.
The annual Greatford village fete took place at Greatford Village Hall in Carlby Road and included traditional games, stalls selling afternoon teas and homemade cakes, a beer tent and demonstrations.
There was also a car boot and a party from 4pm, which included live music, a beer tent and a barbecue.
Olympic Games Maker Tracey Radnall, who lives in the village and is penning a book on her experiences, attended the fete with torchbearer Andy McPherson.
Lisa Cuthbert, one of the organisers with her husband Trevor, said: “It went well and I am sure the weather helped.
“There was a really good turnout, particularly towards the end of the fete when people could stay to watch the bands.”
The event raised money for the village hall and the amount is still being counted.
