GREMLINS have taken over an arts centre as part of a school holiday workshop.

Martin Tempest, who runs Movie Makers workshops at Stamford Arts Centre for children during the holidays, has

been filming Gremlins Attack

the UK this week.

The film is a modern take on the 1980s film Gremlins.

Martin said: “About 17 young people are involved and then we have a cast of about nine or 10 over the age of 18.

“It’s a fun film but a serious project. There are modern day gremlins like ones that play the Xbox and ones that wear caps and big jewellery.

“It is something that everyone is really getting into and enjoying.”

The gremlin models were made by New College Stamford students, who have spent the week operating them.

Martin said: “The gremlins look absolutely fantastic and the students have done an amazing job with them.

“They look great on camera and I’m looking forward to seeing the finished project.”

The film will be screened next year.
