Half a month’s rainfall hits Wittering in just 12 hours according to Met Office

Half an average month’s rainfall hit the Met Office weather station in Wittering in just 12 months.

Between 3am and 3pm yesterday (Wednesday, March 9) 31.2mm of rain fell.

That was the fifth highest amount in the UK with Bedford seeing 35.6mm in that time.

However, the Met Office is predicting better weather in the near future with the rain set to stay away, even if temperatures will not be rising much.
