Handyperson service launched for tenants

Have your say

A HOUSING association has launched a new handyperson service for its residents.

Spire Homes which owns homes in Rutland and north Northamptonshire launched the service to benefit tenants who need help with home improvements and small tasks.

Services include replacement locks to doors and windows, minor plumbing, electrical work and replacing toilet seats.

Larger tasks can also be undertaken but they will depend on the nature of the job.

There is a small charge for the service, but it provides a handy bit of help for those who need it.

Head of property services at Spire Homes Mark Rogers said: “It can often be difficult to find a contractor to carry out small household repairs at a reasonable cost and we hope that we will be able to provide valuable assistance to our tenants.”
