Hanthorpe Road in Morton to be resurfaced
Worn out sections of the carriageway, between the junctions with the A15 and Millfield Road, are set to be resurfaced next month.
The improvements are due to start on Tuesday, July 9, and are expected to take three days to complete (subject to favourable weather).
To allow the work to be carried out safely, the road will be closed, with motorists diverted via the A15 and Stainfield village.
All steps will be taken to maintain access for residents, but this may not be possible at certain times, due to the nature of the works.
Mark Heaton, programme leader – surfacing and patching, said: "Sections of the route are nearing the end of their life and it's important they're replaced to ensure the road remains safe to use.
"Unfortunately, there will inevitably be some disruption, and we'd advise people to leave additional time for their journeys and use other routes where possible.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and would ask people for their patience."
