Toolstation opens in Bourne




A former veterinary centre has been transformed into a hardware store with seven jobs created.

Toolstation opened at the old Vets4Pets in Smart Tec House, Cherryholt Road, Bourne on Monday (December 16) last week and the ribbon was cut by Coun Brenda Johnson, the town’s mayor.

She said:“I think it’s a fantastic thing for Bourne. The more shops we have, the better because the town is growing and Elsea Park is growing.

“It’s important to have our shops full and get people into the town.

“We’ve also got Card Factory coming in the New Year and these businesses will ensure that local people can find employment.”

Coun Johnson said she was looking forward to seeing them them all in the New
Year.

Branch manager Jason Storey, said: “It’s great to open our new branch in Bourne and to introduce ourselves to the trade locally.

“Our team here really does pride itself on making it quick and easy for our customers to get their trade supplies by calling in or using our click and collect service.

“We are looking forward to lending a hand to the tradespeople nearby, offering the best products for the jobs they have.”

It is open from 7am to 7pm Monday to Saturday and 9am to 4pm on
Sundays.
