Have your say on town plan at consultation event

People are being invited to have their say on Oakham Neighbourhood Plan at a consultation event on Saturday, April 9.

The event will be held at Victoria Hall in High Street, Oakham, between 10.30am and 1pm.

It’s the public’s chance to informally review what is good and not so good about where you live, chat to steering group members, see what the plan can do, have your say and enjoy a complimentary tea or coffee.

Remember, the Neighbourhood Plan will become a statutory plan, and one of the documents used by Rutland County Council to make planning decisions.

Do not pass up the opportunity for your views and ideas to be heard.

Successful development of the plan will also need people with specific skills and a willingness to help.

In particular the active involvement of residents, community leaders, representatives of local organisations, business owners, shop keepers and restaurant/coffee shop operators will be crucial.
