A HOSPITAL trust’s equipment amnesty has resulted in more than 50 items being returned.

Peterborough and Stamford Hospitals Trust received items worth £1,000 during an equipment amnesty run between July 29 and August 7.

Patients were asked to return equipment such as crutches, zimmer frames and toilet seats.

Equipment co-ordinator Peter Piece said: “Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to return the equipment.

“Although the amnesty has finished it is still very important for people to return items once they are no longer needed.”

Receptions at Peterborough City Hospital and Stamford Hospital will take equipment.
